Robert T. “Rob” Devine

Newfields – Robert T. “Rob” Devine, 54, of Newfields died suddenly Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his home.

He was born December 26, 1959 in Roxsbury, MA the son of James and Dorothy (Waterman) Devine of Brownville, ME.

Rob was raised in MA but lived most of his life in Newfields, he worked for Fergerson Trucking Company and prior to this he worked for Kitchen Etc.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #32 of Exeter, a member of the Rockingham Golf Club Men’s League and a founder member of the Old Men’s Breakfast Club.

He will be remembered for his contagious smile and quick wit, he was a very caring and compassionate husband, father and friend.

Family members include his wife of 36 years, Cathy (Chwatzk) Devine, his daughters, Alix N. Devine and Abby L. Devine, his siblings, James, Philip, Donald, Ginger Wentworth, Jean Wells, Susan Devine and Ann Devine.

A Celebration of his life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Wednesday at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Tuesday at the funeral home from 5-8 PM. Private burial will be in Newfields.
