Anna Mae Davitt








Anna Mae (Anne) Davitt passsed away peacefully at the EP Barker Assisted Living Home on Monday, January 23, 2017.  She was born in Burlington, VT on August 15, 1929.  She was the daughter of the late James & Carrie Mae (Bostwick) Flanagan.

After graduating from Julia Richmond High School in New York City, she went on to work for the NY Telephone Company as an operator.  She was married in 1950 to Anthony Davitt.  After raising her family, she returned to work as an administrative assistant in the outpatient Alcohol Clinic at the Bronx VA Hospital.  Her love and passion were her family.  She was loved and respected by everyone who knew her.  She loved to talk and tell stories, music, puzzle books, and without a doubt, her coffee.

She is survived by her children, Thomas Davitt and wife Patricia; Anne Marie Antosiewicz and her husband Tony; Kenneth Davitt and wife Sheryl and Jeanne Olsen and husband Allan.  She has 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 3 – 6 pm at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, NH.  A Mass will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Michael Church, Corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, New Hampshire.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke University, Family Support Program/PBMT, 1400 Morreene Road, Durham, NC  27705.   Please add on the memo line of check:  PBMT  In Memory of Great Grandmother of Michael McGuinness.
