Evan S. Davis
Evan Davis, 30, died unexpectedly of unknown causes on Saturday, May 7th. He was born July 21, 1985 in Exeter. He graduated in 2003 from Exeter High School and UNH in 2007. He was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance in Dover, NH as a Senior Software Developer.
Evan was a bright spark in an often dark world. He burned like a raging fire and we were all moths drawn to his light. He could love and laugh more deeply and fiercely than anyone else. He was the best kind of person and we loved him, perhaps not enough, never enough. We will hold dear to all the days and seconds that we had him because we didn’t know how lucky we were to be cast in his light.
Evan loved FIFA football both real and virtual. He loved his tea brewed just right, his cats, playing pool, and Iceland. There were memorable trips: Maine canoeing, Key West, England, France, Italy, Sweden, the Caribbean, and Anna Maria Island.
He is survived by his parents Spencer Davis and Jackie Rockel of Exeter, his sister Adrienne Davis of Exeter, his uncle Wayne Davis and his longtime partner Roxanne Ferrin of Hampton, his great aunt Emily Feener of Malden, Marje Blundon of Londonderry, Rebecca Leitch of Salem, his wife Lindsay Davis of Denver and their two cats Arsenio and Franklin. There are too many other friends and coworkers to name but we acknowledge you all and we appreciate all you have brought to his life and ours.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the NH SPCA for the care of cats at www.nhspca.org or donations can be made to Safe Harbor Recovery Center by check written out to Granite Pathways with a note mentioning Safe Harbor and Evan's name in the memo. It will go to Safe Harbor Recovery Center and is tax deductible. The address is Safe Harbor Recovery Center, 865 Islington St. Portsmouth, NH 03801.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 14th at 2 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 12-2 PM. Private burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter.
