Gerry E. Dahme, Jr.

Gerry E. Dahme Jr., 51, of Malden, Massachusetts and Epping, New Hampshire passed peacefully at home on the morning of January 21, 2017. Gerry is survived by his four children Alyssa Dahme, Taylor Dahme, Garrett Dahme, and Austin Dahme, his mother Doris Rogers, his four sisters Judy Pendleton, Doreen Hall, Elise Toto, and Kris Testa, his loving girlfriend Lisa DiFiore, the mother of his children Julie Helms, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Gerry is predeceased by his father Gerry E. Dahme Sr. Gerry was a loving father, brother, son, and friend to many.

Gerry was a Recon Marine for four years and was very proud to serve his country as part of the 3rd Recon BN 1st Platoon C Company from May '84-May ‘86 and the 1st Recon BN from June '86-October '87. Gerry cherished the lifelong friendships he made with his Marine Corps brothers.

Gerry spent 22 years as an Ironworker for Local 7 in Boston. Tuna was always good for telling jokes, his quick wit, and artwork on his jobsites to get laughs from his buddies he loved at work.

Gerry had a strong passion for cooking. He graduated from Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and later went on to work as a chef at the World Trade Center in Boston. Gerry was always very creative in the kitchen and loved sharing his dishes with others.

Gerry’s greatest accomplishment was raising his four children and teaching them everything he knew including cooking, drawing, fishing, and how to always be strong individuals. Apart from these things, Gerry enjoyed reading, riding his motorcycle, skydiving, and sketching. He was a sports fanatic and particularly loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Bruins. Gerry was proud of his German heritage and also loved spending summers with his extended family in Faulkton, South Dakota. Gerry has maintained many close friendships from his childhood throughout the years especially Jimbo Powers and the late Paul Foster.

Gerry’s “Larger than life” personality will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him most.
