Lillian M. Cunniff
Exeter – Lillian M. Cunniff, 81, of Exeter died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at her home after a long illness.
She was born June 20, 1932 in Bronx, NY the daughter of the late George and Mary (Briggs) Schloemer.
Lillian was raised in New York and was a graduate of St. Jean the Baptist High School in New York.
She lived in Exeter for many years and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting ceramics and going to the Casino. She had worked for Reader’s Digest and Home Life Insurance Company in New York.
Family members include her husband of 63 years, Michael J. Cunniff of Exeter, her children, John Cunniff of Seabrook, Michael G. Cunniff of Exeter, Mary Cunniff and her partner, Bob Lewis of New York, Eileen Heady and her husband of MD, Anne Piehler and her husband, John of Exeter, Catherine Welch and her husband, Donald of ME and Lillian Gilbert and her husband, Robert of Raymond, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way, her brother, Clarence Schloemer of SC.
She was predeceased by her son, Edward Cunniff, and brothers Henry and George Schloemer.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 12:30 at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 53 Lincoln Street, Exeter, NH 03833.
