Harold W. Cross, Jr.

Newfields – Harold W. Cross, Jr., 74, of Bingham, ME formerly of Exeter died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Newfields surrounded by his family.

He was born February 1, 1940 in Brentwood, NH the son of the late Harold W. and Louise (Fiske) Cross, Sr.

Harold was raised in Brentwood and was a graduate of Exeter High School. He worked for many years for Sears, first in the catalog store in downtown Exeter and than for the store at Fox Run Mall in Newington until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, a member of the American Legion in Bingham, ME, an avid hunter and fisherman.

He enjoyed time spent with his wife and family especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his devilish smile, his quick wit and humor.

Family members include his wife, Denise (Savoy) Cross, his children, Christopher Cross and his wife, Donna, and Carol Keach and her husband, Kevin, his grandchildren, Christopher Cross, Jr., Sarah Griswold, Benjamin Keach and Samantha Folland, Brendan Keach, his great grand daughter, Sophia Lynn Cross, also survived by many friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Brian Cross.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family, Saturday at the funeral home from 11 AM until 1 PM. Burial will follow in the Exeter Cemetery.
