Marion “Jean” Chapman
Kensington – Marion “Jean” Chapman, 79, of Kensington died, Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her sister’s home in Rye.
She was born in Exeter NH, July 25, 1933 the daughter of the late Daniel and Marion H. (Page) Waldron.
She was a graduate of Robinson Female Seminary and worked for many years for the former Alrose Shoe Company in Exeter.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, was a member and past president of the American Legion Post #32 Women’s Auxiliary, she was captain of her High school field hockey team and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
Family members include her husband of 60 years, Arthur H. Chapman, her sons, Arthur R. Chapman and Richard L. Chapman, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, her sister, Lois Nelson.
She was predeceased by her son Daniel H. Chapman and her sisters, Alice W. Meekins and Phyllis O’Brien.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 AM at the Exeter Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. If desired donations may be made to the Charity of ones’ choice. Following the burial there will be a gathering at the American Legion.
