Arthur H. Chapman
Kensington – Arthur H. Chapman, 85, of Kensington died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Veterans Medical Center in Manchester..
He was born April 2, 1929 in Lee, NH the son of the late Nigao D. and Marion (Cook) Chapman.
Arthur lived in Kensington for many years moving there from Newmarket. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was the manager of the American Legion Post #32 of Exeter for over 20 years and was a life member of the Post, he also had managed the Epping Post. He was a member of the Color Guard of Post #32.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marion J. (Waldron) Chapman and his son Daniel Chapman.
Family members include his sons, Arthur H. Chapman, Jr. and Richard L. Chapman, his grandchildren Danny, Christopher, Melissa, his 4 great grandchildren, his brothers, Raymond Chapman and George Chapman.
Graveside services will be held at the Exeter Cemetery, Linden Street, Exeter, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fr. Flangan Boys & Girls Camp, www.girls & Boys town.org.
