Donald Campbell
Wolfeboro - Donald Eugene Campbell, 80, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Rockingham Nursing Home in Brentwood with loving family by his side.
He was born June 13, 1931 in Oxford, OH, son of the late Earl Edward and Josephine (Brown) Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was raised in Oxford and was a graduate of Hanover High School. He moved to New Hampshire in 1960 and had resided in Epping since 2005. He worked for Bradley's Hardware while in Wolfeboro and prior to this he worked for Wolfeboro Oil Company. He also served as Chief of Police for the town of Tuftonboro. Donald AKA “Trouble” was a former member of the Episcopal Church of Wolfeboro, NH. He enjoyed building model boats and trains as well as eating lobsters.
Family members include his children, Theresa R. Jennings of Kittery, ME, Donald E. Campbell of Columbia, Leanne M. Campbell of Epping, Connie M. Campbell of Arlington, WA, Mary Beth Campbell of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Kathy J. Campbell Loucks of New River, AZ, Lynda C. Simpson of Northwood, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his step children, Edward Garrett and Linda Arsenault.
Mr. Campbell was predeceased by his brother Paul Kenneth Campbell.
Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests there be no visiting hours and that flowers please be omitted. If desired, donations may be made to Saints Episcopal Church, 258 S. Main Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. A reception will be held in the Community Room at the Stockbridge Funeral Home following the service. Burial will be private.
