Lillian A. Camire
Brentwood – Lillian A. Camire, 97 formerly of Exeter died October 20, 2014 at the Rockingham County
Nursing Home.
She was born July 19, 1917 in Cohoes, NY the daughter of the late Moise and Annie (Grondin) Provencher, her family moved back to Canada before she was one year old where she lived until the age of 21. She then moved to Durham, NH where she met and married her husband, William P. Camire in 1939.
Lillian was a Gold Star Mother, a volunteer for FISH, the French Club and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael Church, She had many friends who continued to call and visit her. The family is especially grateful for the caring nurses and aides who took great care of her.
Family members include her children, William P. Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Epping, Joyce Tremblay and her husband, Roland of Hendersonville, NC, Daniel Camire and his wife, Ruthann of Shamong, NJ, Denise Claar and her husband, Randy of Stratham, Diane Nucifora and her husband, Marc of Cochranville, PA, her thirteen Grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren, sisters, Irene Allen, Juliette Marcotte and her husband, Paul, brother, Antonin Provencher and his wife, Mariette all of Canada, also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, William P. Camire, her son Lcpl Paul J. Camire and her grand children Anthony and Paul Camire.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family at the church from 10 AM until the hour of the mass. Burial will follow in the Exeter Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
