North Hampton – Frank L. Cadieux, 68, of North Hampton, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Frank was born on December 5, 1941 in Nashua, a son of the late Lucien and Josephine (Tracey) Cadieux. He moved to Exeter in 1953 with his family and attended the Exeter school system.
Frank operated several businesses in the seacoast area that included apartment buildings, appliance stores, laundromats and furniture stores. Frank was the founder of Franks Furniture at the Stratham Traffic Circle which still operates today.
Frank was an active member of the Rotary Club in the 1980’s and was also active with donating to people and local charities on the seacoast. Frank enjoyed his time most by meeting and helping people any way he could. He will be missed and respected by his family and all who knew him.
Frank is survived by his son, Scott Cadieux of Portsmouth, his daughter, Terry Lee Flood, and her husband Christopher Flood and grandchildren, Allison Flood, Sarah Flood and Christopher Flood Jr. all of Lynnfield, MA, his stepson, Eric Joniec of Barrington, his brothers, Thomas Cadieux and his wife Jill of Brentwood, Roland Cadieux and his wife Lee of Dover, Vincent Cadieux and his wife Nancy of Nashua, his sisters, Judith Cassidy of Exeter and Kathlin Dierks and her husband John of Germany, several nieces, nephews and his longtime companion, Linda Wade of North Hampton.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday in St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter. Interment will be in the Exeter Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
