Rhonda L. Brown
Exeter- Rhonda L. Brown, 55, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Exeter Healthcare after a long fight against multiple cancers.
Rhonda was born January 28, 1955 in Brookline, MA. Rhonda was educated at St. Mary’s High School. She received her Associate Degree from Northern Essex Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire. After graduating Rhonda worked at a Safe Place for seven years assisting hundreds of families in their time of need. She then fostered an autistic boy until she incurred a physical disability.
Rhonda was diagnosed with her first cancer in 2003. Rhonda's lifelong selflessness continued on throughout her battle with cancer, putting others before herself even during her own time of need. Rhonda showed much strength no matter what she was going through or how sick she had become.
Rhonda is survived by her mother, Francis Schmidlin of Methuen; Son Walter H. Brown, IV and his wife Kelly, of New Cannan, CT; Daughter, Sarah E. Brown, and her fiancé Christopher Shipulski of Exeter; two Sisters, Karen McKitrick and Deborah Grasso, a Brother Patrick Griffin, three Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and close friends that she had opened her home to throughout her life.
Visiting hours will be held at Stockbridge Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 14 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 1:00 pm at Stockbridge Funeral Home with a burial to follow at the Exeter Cemetery, Exeter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in their time of need.
