Pasquale C. Bibbo
EXETER – Pasquale C. ‘Pat’ Bibbo, 87, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
He was born in Newton, MA, October 13, 1924, the son of Antonio and Grace (Lantella) Bibbo. He was a graduate of Boston University and received an MBA from Xavier University in Ohio. Raised in Newton, he resided in Cincinnati, OH and Lynnfield, MA before moving to Exeter in 1970.
Mr. Bibbo was a combat wounded veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific with the U.S. Marine Corps, Company G, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Regiment. He saw action in the Marshall Islands, Guam and the Marianas Islands.
Mr. Bibbo was an accountant for General Electric in Lynn, MA and Cincinnati, Ohio, USM Bailey of Seabrook, NH and retired as VP of Finance from Cargocaire of Amesbury, MA.
He was a communicant of St. Michael Church in Exeter, where he served as an usher and was a life member of the Lynnfield Knights of Columbus and the Marine Corps League.
He was predeceased by a son, Robert Bibbo, and a brother, Joseph Bibbo.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Jennings) Bibbo of Exeter; a daughter, Ruth Shores, and her husband, Thomas of Georgetown, MA; two grandchildren, Christopher and Daniel; a brother, John Bibbo, and his wife, Enzanetta, of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Lucy Kiley of Ashland, MA and Ann Bibbo of Natick, MA; a sister-in-law, Ann (Arcuri) Bibbo of Pawcatuck, CT; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call Monday, October 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in St. Michael Church, Front & Lincoln Streets, Exeter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Charities or the charity of one’s choice.
