Exeter – Gloria C. Berlin, 85, of Exeter died peacefully Friday, November 20, 2015 at Exeter Hospital.

Gloria was born December 7, 1929 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late Charles and Cecilia (Dery) Liberty.

She was raised in Manchester and graduated from St. George High School in 1949. Gloria went on to attend the NH Hospital School of Nursing in Concord, NH. She became a Registered Nurse, a job she much enjoyed and talked of often throughout her life. It was through this work that she met her husband, the late Ernest F. Berlin Jr.

Gloria enjoyed trips to Old Orchard Beach ME all her life from the time she was a small child. She loved spending time with family and friends during trips to Old Orchard.

Gloria was a Communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Exeter, NH.

Family members include daughter Kathleen Couture and her husband Kevin, of South Berwick, ME, sons Evan Berlin and his wife Kyle, of Exeter, NH and Robert Berlin and his wife Ellen of Newmarket, NH, and grandchildren Amanda and Brian Couture, and Abigail and Drew Berlin.

She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, November 24 from 6 to 8 pm at Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NH SPCA in Stratham, NH ( www.nhspca.org ).
