Donald G. Bentley


Epping – Donald G. Bentley, 89, of Epping died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Oceanside Rehabilitation Center in Hampton.

He was born June 7, 1924 in Boston, MA the son of the late Victor H. and Johan (Bergess) Bentley.

Mr. Bentley was a graduate of Story High School, Manchester by the Sea, MA, he received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Providence Bible Institute.  He was a pastor in New York and New Hampshire, an administrator at Barrington and Gordon College, and a Stewardship representative with Sudan Interior Mission.

He  a veteran of the US Army Corps, Donald served 4 years during  WWI II.
Family members include his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Shenning) Bentley , three sons, Warren Bentley and his wife, Nanette, Paul Bentley and his wife, Lucinda and Kres Bentley,  8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and his youngest brother, Eliot Bentley.

Donald was predeceased by his twin brother, Colin Bentley and his older brothers, John and James.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hampton Falls, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. “A man after God’s own heart.”

A memorial services will be held at the Hampton Falls First Baptist Church, 3 Lincoln  Avenue, Hampton Falls, Monday, November 4, 2013 at 11 AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family form 10 AM until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pioneers, 10123 William Carey Drive, Orlando, FL 32832-6931, for Quechua Radio Station, Acct#150032. Burial will be private.  Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
