Maurice L. Auger
Exeter - Maurice L. Auger, 82, of Exeter died June 2, 2007 at the Exeter Hospital.
He was born January 21, 1925 in Allenstown, NH, the son of the late Alfred and Leona (Verveille) Auger.
Mr. Auger attended Allenstown schools. He resided in Exeter for the past 54 years. He was a maintenance supervisor for the Phillips Exeter Academy; prior to this he worked for many years for the former Milliken Company at the Exeter Mills.
He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church, Exeter, and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid gardener, music lover, and a lifelong Boston sports fan. He lived long enough to see the Red Sox win it all!! As of late, he had become a devoted UNH Hockey fan.
Family members include his beloved wife of 58 years, Doris M. (Dauteuil) Auger of Exeter, a son, Rodney Auger and his wife, Yvette of Madbury, three grandchildren, Janine, Paul and Kathryn, a sister Theresa LaFlamme of Glastonbury, CT, and several nieces and nephews. His faith and family were the most important things in the world to him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:30 AM and burial at 1:30 PM at St. John the Baptist Cathloic Cemetery in Allenstown, NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. The family requests no visiting hours. Arrangements are by the Stockbridge Funeral Home, Exeter.
