Joan F. Arnold
Exeter – Joan F. Arnold, 80, a lifelong resident of Exeter died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Exeter Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 25, 1933 in Exeter, NH the daughter of the late William and Annie (Demers) Hanson.
Mrs. Arnold was a graduate of Robinson Female Seminary in Exeter. She worked for the Nichols Poultry Farm and then for the Exeter Hospital for 19 years in data entry.
She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, enjoyed time spent on her computer while making photo albums and picture disks for her grandchildren. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was a #1 Blue Hawk fan for Exeter High School Sports.
Family members include her husband of 59 years Theodore F. Arnold of Exeter, her children, Lynn French of Brookfield, Laurie Eldridge and her fiancé, John Byra of Exeter, Timothy Arnold of Crystal River, FL, Tammy Keene and her husband Mark of Stratham, her sister, Florence Hanson of Exeter and her six grandchildren, Corey, Kyle, Nicholas, Jacob, Ben and Nicole.
She was predeceased by a daughter in law, Patricia Maple.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter at 11 AM on Thursday, April 11, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.
