Paul J. Antal
Exeter – Paul J. Antal, 80, of Liberty Lane died Sunday, January 7, 2007 with his family at his side.
He was born in Scranton, PA, March 16, 1926 a son of the late John ands Evelyn (May) Antal.
Mr. Antal lived for many years in Ayer, MA. He was a 21 year career man with the US Army serving during WWII, as a member of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, at the Battle of the Bulge.
After his retirement from the service he started his second career with the Digital Equipment Corporation where he was a training manager for 20 years.
He was one of just a few selected to work in the White House and Pentagon during his Army service on the cryptograph machines.
He and his wife enjoyed their retirement traveling between York, ME and Bradenton, FL, he enjoyed playing horseshoes, motor home camping, and spending time with his family.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who had many friends.
Family members include his wife of 53 years, Anita M. Antal of Exeter, two sons, Steven P. Antal and his wife, Maria of Merrimack, NH and Michael J. Antal of Taylorsville, NC one daughter, Debra A. Masters and her husband, Michael of Exeter, five grandchildren, Nicholas Antal, Michael Antal, Kristina Antal, Jennifer Antal and Gregory Antal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, corner of Front and Lincoln Streets, Exeter, Thursday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Wednesday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Burial will be private.
