James Elton Amsden






James Elton Amsden, 64, of Stratham, NH and more recently of Dickinson, ND, died February 8, 2017.

He was the proud father of Sylas Amsden McRae and his family, Ingrid and their daughter, Ayla. He was the son of Ralph and Alice of Stratham NH. He was the brother of Ralph V. Amsden of Kittery, Maine. Anita Amsden Colby of Stratham, NH and Andrew Amsden of Phoenix, AZ. He also leaves loving aunts, nephews and nieces.

He was graduated from Exeter High School and attended extension courses at the University of New Hampshire.

He loved farming and worked at his grandparent’s apple orchard in Hampton Falls, NH. Later Jim had a successful vegetable farm in Claremont NH, which gave him an excellent background to be a head salesman at Runnings (agricultural) Store in Dickinson, ND, where he moved 6 years ago.

He will always be remembered as a very intelligent, kind and caring gentleman, who loved his family very much and kept in touch with us all, he was an avid musical artist.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Febuary 12, 2017 from 2-4 PM. A Prayer service will be held at 4 PM. Spring burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery. Donations may be made to his family in their time of need.
