Nancy S. Acox


Exeter – Nancy S. Acox, 77, of Exeter died Friday, February 5, 2010 peacefully with her daughters at her side at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood.

She was born December 1, 1932 in Boston, MA the daughter of the late Frank P. and Margaret (Allen) Smith.

At an early age her family moved from Dorchester to  Quincy, MA and she  was a graduate of Quincy High School and Fisher Junior College in Boston.

She was a paralegal for many years for Judge George Scammon, Judge Edward Gage and for the former law offices of Holland, Donovan, Beckett and Welch of Exeter.

She resided in Exeter since the early 50’s.
Family members include her children, Susan C. Philbrick and her husband, G. Rick ,Christine J. Sullivan and her husband, Cory, Thomas V. Acox and his wife, Donna , Kenneth A. Acox  and his fiancé, Patricia Salazar, her grandchildren,  Frank, Joshua, Jackie, George, Cassy , Chelsea, Jessica and Jonathan.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, Saturday  at   1 PM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may visit with the family Saturday from 11 AM until the hour of the service. Spring burial will be in the Exeter Cemetery.  If desired donations may be made to the Rockingham VNA/Hospice, 137 Epping Road, Exeter, NH  03833.
